Peyton Whitt has been named a finalist in the 2020 WV scholar competition. He is a rising senior at James Monroe, a three-sport athlete, who tore his ACL in the last football game. 

After submitting his essay answering the question “How do you plan, through your education, to improve the state of West Virginia or make an impact here?” Peyton is now one of fifteen finalists competing for a full, four-year scholarship at West Virginia Wesleyan College where he would enroll in the Physics/Engineering Dual Degree program.
